Pre-Puppy Training
Welcoming your new puppy to your home can be a daunting task, for both you and your puppy!! This is an an informative and invaluable guide for all puppy owners.
We will teach and support you in what you need for your puppy to get started, toilet training, teething, nipping, sleeping arrangements, socialisation, how to settle your puppy and, most importantly, the welfare needs of your puppy!!
An invaluable 121 session in your home ensuring you become a responsible puppy owner, leading on to puppy classes once they’ve had their vaccinations. Discounts are available if paying in advance for our Pupstars classes!!
From only £65 for a forty five minute session that includes a checklist of everything you need and a detailed summary of our session. Prices are based on a radius of three miles from our postcode of EN7 5 (West Cheshunt). Please enquire about price increments from this postcode.
Pupstars Puppy Training
For Puppies Up To 6 Months Old:
The first 12 months of a puppy’s life are hugely important. We will show you how to build a solid foundation for your pups’ future. We’ll teach you how to use positive reinforcement training to teach your dog, and how to avoid future behaviour problems.
Help your puppy develop self-confidence whilst making new friends. With a maximum of six puppies per class, we ensure you get the right support for you and your puppy.
Your Class will cover:
- Responding to their name
- Eye contact and attention on you
- Walking on a loose lead - to make your walks more enjoyable
- Recall - so you can have your puppy off lead safely
- Basic commands such as sit, down, stand, stay, settle
- Greeting people without jumping up,
- Food manners
- Socialisation skills
- Control through a doorway and more life skills that your puppy needs.
The course is for 8 weeks and is £160.00 per dog for the 8 x 45 minute sessions . All 8 sessions to be paid for in advance.

Canine Champs
(Entry point for dogs that are over 6 months old)
Are you looking to improve your general training skills? Would you like to learn some basics with your older puppy or adult dog? Then Canine Champs is the course for you!
Your class will focus on general training for success in everyday life using modern science-based training techniques. The course is suitable for dogs over 6 months as an introduction/first course who need to work on their foundation skills or brush up on their general training.
Your Course Will Include:
- General Obedience - sit/down with stay, recall, walking nicely on the lead etc
- Manners - leave/drop, not jumping up, settling
- Social Manners - how to greet and interact with dogs and people appropriately.
- Play Skills - how to interact and train through play
- Neighbourhood Walk Session (if suitable) - works on teaching your dog how to go for a nice, relaxing walk, without pulling and being silly and also how to be good off lead (recall from a distance)
- Teach your dog how to behave when guests come over.
- Teach your dog car manners.
Classes are relaxed, informative and fun. A maximum of six dogs per class to ensure dogs and owners have space and time to progress.
Please Note: this course is suitable for dogs that are comfortable in the presence of other dogs and able to focus on their owner in a group setting. If your dog is human or dog reactive, overly excitable or easily distracted a series of 121 training would be more suitable. Please contact us prior to booking if you are unsure if this course is suitable for you.
The course is priced at £15.00 per 1 hour session and payable in advance.
Behavioural Sessions
Some dogs have more complex needs and group classes may not be right for them; our 1-to-1 sessions are ideal if your dog is uncomfortable around other people and dogs. They may be nervous, reactive, anxious or easily distracted, or you may just have a couple of areas that you wish to improve on. They may need more time than others and our 1-to-1 training is tailored to each dogs’ individual needs; is separation anxiety becoming an issue now that more people are going back to work?.. We will show you how to improve your dog’s confidence, social skills, have better recall and focus and other life skills you want help with. We offer these sessions in customers homes as well as outdoor venues throughout North London, Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas
Each session is one hour long and is priced from £65.00 per session; you will then be advised on the best way forward and you will be offered a training plan. Our training plans are also from £65 per hour and you must purchase a minimum of three sessions in advance; if booking and paying for five sessions in advance the sessions are discounted to £300.00.
